Special Notices
Tuition, Room and Board, and Fees
Information on tuition, room and board, and other fees incurred may be found by clicking here .
The Department of Education requires all institutions to establish a fair and equitable refund policy under which the institution makes a refund of unearned tuition, fees, room, and board. Brescia’s refund policy was developed following guidelines mandated by the Department of Education. This policy supersedes all other refund policies. The refund policy is available in the Cashier, Registrar, Financial Aid, and STARS offices. It is also available by clicking here. For additional information regarding the refund policy, please call 270-686-4238.
Insurance
Required for students with 12 hours or more unless proof of other insurance coverage is presented on or before 9/13/2009 for Fall and 1/26/2010 for Spring.
Payment
Charges for tuition, fees, room, and meals are payable each semester at registration. Students who cannot make payment in full at registration may use the deferred payment plan or the monthly payment plan. The deferred payment plan requires payment of at least one-half the balance due (total charges less financial grants, scholarships and loans) at registration; the remaining balance must be paid by November 1 and March 1 of each respective semester. This monthly payment plan requires that 1/5 of the total balance due is paid at registration and on the first business day of each month of the next four months. An administrative charge applies to each payment plan. See the business office for details.
Balances not paid by the due date are past due and will accrue late charges at an annual rate of 18%. A $100 late payment fee will be added to any accounts having an outstanding balance on the first day of classes A charge of $25.00 is imposed for checks returned because of insufficient funds.
Satisfactory settlement of accounts must be made before a grade report or transcript of credits will be issued, and before a student may register for subsequent terms.
Miscellaneous
The University reserves the right to cancel any class for which there is not sufficient registration.
Admission to class for those who pay special tuition or audit is on a "space available" basis.
Fees are subject to change without notification. If withdrawal is not made officially, the student will receive an "F" for the course taken and will be charged in full.
Check University Catalog for other academic policies.
