Student Support Services is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. We serve 160 selected Brescia students who have an academic need and who are either first generation college students, who have a disability, or who come from a low-income background. It is important to note that this is a voluntary program and not all students who apply will be selected.
Since 1977 when the Program first began at Brescia, Student Support Services has assisted over 2,300 students and has had over 1,000 of its participants graduate from Brescia. An additional 300 students have transferred to other colleges or universities for a retention rate of 57%.
